Jon Pritchett, MD

Dr. Jon Pritchett was born and raised in a small town in central Illinois.  He received his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia.  He was a collegiate athlete, played football and served as team captain for the Division 1 Richmond Spiders.  Dr. Pritchett attended medical school at the University of Illinois at Rockford, Illinois.  He served as student board president and graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. Following medical school, Dr. Pritchett completed his residency through UC Davis’s  Mercy Redding Family Medicine Residency Program.  He served as Chief Resident his final year. 

His clinical interests include sports medicine, preventative medicine, urgent care, pediatrics and wilderness medicine.

Dr. Pritchett’s professional experience spans the broad range of family medicine.  This includes emergency medicine in rural and remote communities, hospital and office medicine.

In addition to being one of the owners of Bouchier-Pritchett Family Medicine,  Dr. Pritchett is the medical director of Wolf Creek Care Center, a skilled nursing facility in Grass Valley, CA.

When not at work, you will likely find Dr. Pritchett outdoors, riding his bike in the high country, hiking, skiing or backpacking.  He lives in Nevada County with his wife, 3 teenage children and 3 dogs.

Todd Bouchier, MD

Dr. Todd Bouchier grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Dr. Bouchier received his Bachelor’s of Science Degree with honors in Biological Sciences from the University of California in  Davis, CA.  He went on to receive his Master’s of Arts degree in Biological Sciences from Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA.

Dr. Bouchier attended medical school at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles, CA.  He graduated with Dean’s Recognition.  Following that, he completed his residency with the Stanislaus Family Medicine Residency Program in Modesto, CA.  He was on the Committee of Interns and the Residents Union Representative.  In 2009, he served as Chief Resident for the academic year.

Dr. Bouchier’s clinical interests include pediatrics, dermatology, sports medicine and preventative medicine.

Some of Dr. Bouchier’s pastimes include botany, fly fishing, backpacking, skateboarding, snowboarding and playing the guitar.

Dr. Bouchier resides in the Sierra Foothills with his wife and 2 sons. 

Donna Murtaugh, NP-C

Donna Murtaugh, NP, brings over 20 years of well-rounded nursing experience to the practice.

 

She attended the nursing program at Widener University in Chester, PA where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).  She quickly furthered her education and continued her evening studies at the University of Pennsylvania-Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia where she earned her ABA in Business Administration in 1999.  She continued her nursing academics at Thomas Jefferson University, a 100 year old private health sciences university in Center City, Philadelphia where she graduated with her Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) as an Adult-Health Nurse Practitioner in 2007. 

Donna holds various memberships inclusive of Sigma Theta Tau, International Nursing Honor Society, American Academy of Nurse Practitioner and the California Association for Nurse Practitioners.

When away from the office, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, friends and her 5 dogs.

Jed Colvin, FNP-C

A California Native, Jed was born and raised in Placerville in the Sierra Foothills. He spent a decade as a young adult in Jackson Hole Wyoming. Currently he resides in Nevada county and enjoys having the opportunity to assist patients within his own community.

He has worked for the past 6 years in emergency medicine and has a 5-year background as a bedside nurse in a Trauma Intensive Care Unit. His professional interests include pediatrics, sports medicine, orthopedics, acute injuries and improving the quality of patients’ lives with an emphasis on non-pharmacological interventions.

When not in the office you will find him out skiing the backcountry, hiking and playing at the rivers or riding his bike. His favorite pastime is spending time with his beautiful family.

Katherine Bialka, Ph.D., PA-C

Katherine grew up in Northeastern Florida and graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a doctorate in Agricultural and Biological Engineering. Post-graduate, she worked for several years in Food Safety Engineering before obtaining a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. She has an extensive background in Endocrinology, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and now offers DOT Commercial Driver Exams.

After visiting Nevada County 6 years ago for vacation and experiencing the beauty of the Yuba River, she and her husband relocated from Pennsylvania. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, baking and playing the flute.
